Mexene’s award-winning chili seasoning blend was created over one hundred years ago by John Walker, of the Walker Chili Company. Mr. Walker created the seasoning mix to duplicate the authentic taste of chili, prepared by local cowboys and loved by many people in the area.
Mexene chili powder remains true today to the original recipe from 1906. The blend has earned international recognition as the “Chili Champions Choice”. Multiple winning recipes from the World Championship Chili Cookoff, held yearly in Terlingua TX, include Mexene chili seasoning powder.
